Halfords Brown Gloss Car Spray Paint - 400ml

The Halfords Brown Gloss Spray Paint is an acrylic-based spray paint, perfect for repairing damage and respraying car panels. It can also be used on aluminium, steel, wood, stone, and most plastics with an appropriate primer.

Finding the right colour on your own can be tough, which is why we use a colour match system. We match your car’s colour code to the right can, so you get a professional finish.

This automotive paint is designed to withstand the elements, with weather and UV-resistant properties to protect against aging from the sun or rain. It’s also scratch and shock-resistant, to help keep your paintwork looking fresh over time.

Application should be simple thanks to the fast-drying formula and great coverage. Used with a primer, the paint has excellent adhesion to make repairing or respraying your vehicle fuss-free.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Shake the can for 3 minutes, making sure you can hear the agitator ball inside. This will ensure the contents are fully mixed and will give the best possible colour match. Test the paint colour first to make sure you’re happy with the match, then apply a first thin “dust” coat to give best possible adhesion to the primer.

Where repairing part of a panel, avoid spraying all the way up to the masked edge, stopping just before to make the blending step easier.

Allowing time in-between coats, slowly build up the layers of paint until a uniform thickness and coverage is achieved (this should be 2-3 coats).

Allow the paint to completely dry following the time guide on the can before moving on to clear lacquer.

CAUTIONS:
*The drying time can change depending on the ambient temperature, humidity and the thickness of the coats applied. Ensure the paint is fully dry before moving onto the next stage.

Take care when preparing older paint surfaces (pre-1970) as these may contain harmful lead.

This paint is colour-matched to the vehicle manufacturers original paint colour when new. Vehicle paints are susceptible to ageing, oxidisation and colour fade. Always spray out a test card first to ensure the colour match is suitable and follow the instructions to blend the colour into the existing paint.

Make sure you have enough ventilation in the area you’re painting in to prevent a harmful build-up of solvent gasses.

Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition source. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Do not breathe spray. Wear protective gloves and eye protection. Wash contaminated body parts thoroughly after handling. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention. Call a doctor if you feel unwell. Dispose of contents/container in accordance with regional regulations. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Warning! Hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed. Do not breathe spray or mist.
