About The Bike

All of our second hand bikes are pre-built, safety checked by our expert technicians and ready to ride away on the same day you collect.

  • Frame: Full-Suspension aluminium frame
  • Forks: Rockshox Recon RL with 130mm of travel
  • Gears: SRAM SX Eagle 1x12 gearing
  • Brakes: Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes
  • Wheels: 27.5" wheels with through-axle hubs and tubeless ready rims

The Carrera Titan X Mountain Bike gives the off-road descending capability you can only find in a full-suspension mountain bike, but is backed up with the right spec to enable a confident climb back up to the trail head.

The Rockshox Recon RL front fork is paired perfectly with the Monarch R at the rear to soak up bumps whilst maintaining full control. The dropper seat post and 1 x 12 gearing pair excellently to enable a fast transition between fast descending and slow, steep climbs.

We've designed soft and supportive memory foam into every one of our saddles so wherever you're going, we've added in more comfort.WTB Trail boss tyres pair with the full suspension frame to offer plenty of grip whether climbing or descending and thanks to the puncture protect strip embedded in the rubber the chances of a puncture are greatly reduced.

 
 

How Our Bikes Are Graded

All of our second hand bikes have been valued and safety checked by our trained technicians, so they are ready to ride away.

They check the condition of the wheels, frame, saddle, drivetrain and handlebars against a list of criteria. Then they'll assign a grade that takes into account the bike's age and condition.

Each bike is safety checked by one of our experts, and repairs will be made to ensure it is safe to ride.

  • Grade A bikes may be lightly used, have none or very minor cosmetic/mechanical wear and the majority of its’ original parts.
  • Grade B bikes may have slight cosmetic and/or mechanical wear from light use and minor replacement parts.
  • Grade C bikes may have some cosmetic and/or mechanical wear from use and some of its’ original parts may have been replaced.

Each bike is safety checked by one of our experts, and repairs will be made to ensure it is safe to ride.

12 Month Warranty

All Halfords second hand bikes come with a 12-month guarantee (from the date of purchase) and we’ll repair any defects for free within that time period.

The only areas not covered by the guarantee are general wear and tear, and where components fail due to misuse, a lack of servicing and/or a lack of care.

 
 

No Fuss Refund

If you change your mind and no longer want the second hand bike that you have purchased, you have the right to return the bike to the store from which you bought it within 14 days from receipt and receive a refund.

Your refund may be subject to a reduction to reflect any reduction in the value of the second-hand bike. To be eligible for a refund, you must also provide your proof of purchase.

You can join us on our mission by buying a second hand bike to reduce waste, cut CO2 emissions and as a bonus savings are passed onto you as our second hand bikes are sold at a lower price compared to buying brand new.

  • Each bike expertly restored and sold to our customers results in an estimated 157.7kg CO2 emissions saving (versus buying a new bike)
  • If we restore 100,000 bikes, this will lead to 15770 tonnes of CO2 saved!
  • If a bike cannot be resold at Halfords, we will share this with our charity partners who repair & donate to African communities.
  • If unrepairable, the bike materials are sent to Re-cycle to recover the valuable materials.
